Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has announced its events calendar for the remainder of 2026, featuring a packed schedule of international exhibitions, conferences, and trade shows that underscores the emirate’s position as a leading global business events destination.
The calendar includes flagship events such as GITEX Global, one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions; Arabian Travel Market (ATM), the premier travel and tourism event in the Middle East; and Big 5 Global, the major construction industry exhibition. These events are expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors and exhibitors from around the world to Dubai.
DWTC confirmed plans to host 71 events during the first half of 2026, and the second-half calendar is equally ambitious. The organization reported strong growth in both the number of events and attendee numbers compared to previous years, reflecting Dubai’s rising profile as a hub for face-to-face business gatherings.
September 2026 marks the return of a busy business and events season across the United Arab Emirates. From investment and real estate conferences in Abu Dhabi and Dubai to government communication forums in Sharjah, the autumn calendar represents a critical period for the UAE’s meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector.
The MICE sector is a significant contributor to Dubai’s economy, generating revenue through hotel bookings, dining, transportation, and related services. According to industry estimates, each major exhibition brings an average of $50 million to $100 million in direct economic impact to the emirate through visitor spending and business deals facilitated during the events.
Dubai’s advantages as an events destination include its geographic location at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa; its world-class aviation connectivity through Dubai International Airport; and its extensive hospitality infrastructure with over 140,000 hotel rooms. The city has invested heavily in expanding its exhibition capacity at the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City, which provides additional large-scale venue space.
The events calendar also includes specialized industry gatherings such as the MEBAA Show 2026, which will bring together leading global business and private aviation companies for its 11th edition from December 8 to 10 at Dubai World Central. The exhibition will feature aircraft displays, product launches, and networking opportunities for the business aviation community.
Dubai Sports World, the region’s largest indoor sports and fitness destination, launched its 16th summer season in 2026, running alongside the events calendar to provide recreational facilities during the warmer months. The summer programming helps maintain visitor traffic and hotel occupancy during the traditionally quieter summer period.
Industry analysts note that Dubai’s events sector has not only recovered from the pandemic-era disruptions but has surpassed previous records, driven by the emirate’s proactive approach to hosting international gatherings and its reputation for safety, connectivity, and business-friendly policies.
